Updated 31 October 2026 · Wrong Client beta
Operator and contact: Wrong Client · wrongclient123@gmail.com

Wrong Client helps you choose saved client contacts and projects and check configured client details before sending. Solo works without an account. Team sharing is optional.

What happens in Gmail

The extension accesses the current compose context, including recipient addresses, subject, written message text and visible attachment filenames, to offer contacts and check configured patterns. It also reads visible conversation/account identifiers and Gmail label controls for project assignments. Checks run in the browser. Wrong Client does not upload email bodies, subjects, recipient lists from drafts, attachment contents or inbox message contents to its server. It does not inspect attachment contents.

Solo stays in your browser

Saved clients, contact details, checking terms, projects, groups, instructions, reusable email wording, notes, favourites, tags, recent choices and follow-up actions are kept in your Chrome profile. Requested reminders use Chrome alarms and notifications. Wrong Client does not add its own password encryption to this local storage. Downloaded setup exports contain saved information: store them carefully.

Optional sign-in

Google and Supabase handle sign-in. The app uses your verified account identifier and email address. Google may also supply basic profile information to Supabase during authentication. Signing in does not grant Wrong Client Gmail API access or upload your Solo directory. The app never asks for or stores your Google password. Session access and refresh tokens are saved in the app's browser storage so you can stay signed in; signing out clears that local session and attempts to revoke the server session.

What Team shares

Only when an owner reviews and publishes a directory, Supabase stores its client names, saved business contact emails/names/roles, company domains, checking terms, projects, groups, communication instructions, links and reusable email starters. Workspace names, account identifiers, member roles, invitation email addresses and update timestamps are also stored. Workspace members can read that shared directory; only the owner can publish changes or manage invitations. Project notes, favourites and follow-up reminders are excluded from the shared cloud directory. Avoid putting private information in shared instructions or email starters.

Signing in or creating an empty workspace does not publish your clients. Solo and Team directories stay separate. Invitations are shown in the app for the matching verified email; this beta does not send invitation emails.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication and the Team database. Google provides optional sign-in. Cloudflare Pages hosts the Outlook add-in and these help pages. Outlook's own mailbox service stores Outlook Solo settings and saved Team copies when the separate add-in is used. These providers process connection information such as IP addresses and operational logs needed to run their services. Information may be processed outside your country. This beta's Team database is hosted in Supabase's West Europe (Ireland) region.

Wrong Client includes no advertising, tracking pixels or third-party analytics SDK. We do not sell your information or use email content for advertising or AI training. Information is shared with the service providers needed for these features, your chosen workspace members and support staff when you contact us. We may disclose information where legally required.

Your choices and deletion

You can export and edit your Solo directory in settings. Removing the extension or clearing its storage removes local extension data; exports you downloaded remain separate. Sign out to clear the local login session and saved active Team copy. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your cloud account or Team directory.

For cloud account or workspace deletion, email wrongclient123@gmail.com from the account concerned. We verify ownership before removing cloud records and resolve workspace ownership before deleting an owner's account. There is no self-service cloud deletion button in this beta. You can also ask what cloud information is held or request a correction. Do not send passwords, tokens, private emails or full client exports with a request.

Retention and saved copies

Solo data remains until you delete it or its browser storage. Cloud account and directory data remains while the account/workspace exists or until a verified deletion request is completed. Invitations expire after seven days; expiry prevents acceptance, but expired invitation records may remain until cancelled or the workspace is deleted. Operational logs and backups, if present, follow the service providers' retention settings and may not disappear immediately after a request.

Removing a member stops further server access. A previously downloaded Team copy can remain usable for up to 24 hours. Exports, screenshots and information already copied by a member cannot be erased remotely.

Google data use

Wrong Client's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google sign-in is used for account identity; it does not authorize access to Gmail messages through Google APIs.
