Wrong Client

A little care before send

A simpler way to stay with the right client.

Wrong Client beta helps you choose saved contacts and projects and spot configured other-client names or attachment filenames in desktop Gmail. Outlook uses a separate add-in.

Beta software cannot catch every mistake. Always check To, Cc, Bcc and attachments yourself. Do not rely on it as enforced data-loss prevention.

Start with Solo

  1. Open Wrong Client settings and add a client, their email addresses and distinctive checking terms.
  2. Add a project and choose its contacts. Use New here? Take a quick tour to see the short animated examples.
  3. In Gmail, open a draft and use the arrow beside Send to choose a client, project and saved contact.
  4. If a warning appears, choose Review email and correct the recipient or content before sending.

Try fictional examples without sending them. For a real send test, use only an address you control and harmless content.

Share with a team

  1. Open Account, sign in with Google and create a workspace.
  2. Choose Share Solo clients, review what will be shared and publish.
  3. Choose Use team directory. Under Manage members, invite each employee using their exact Google sign-in email.
  4. Employees sign in, accept the invitation in Account and select Use team directory. They use shared details read-only.

Invitations appear inside Wrong Client; this beta does not send invitation emails. Owners save shared edits as a draft, then review and publish them in Account. Project notes and follow-up reminders stay personal. Google sign-in is available to Google accounts; access to an existing Team workspace requires its owner’s invitation. Solo needs no login.

Beta availability

Solo and Team are available for testing. Payments and subscriptions are not enabled. New Outlook for Windows and a two-person live sharing pilot remain acceptance checks before a wider launch.
